RESIDENCIAL REAL ESTATE BROKER

Duration: 465 hours
(2 sessions - 6 months)
Language of instruction: French


Eligibility:
Is eligible for this program the person that satisfys any of these conditions:

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent education recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles du Québec (M.I.C.C.)
  • Hold a deemed sufficient training and meet one of the following conditions:
  • a) Have interrupted their studies for at least two consecutive semesters or one school year
  • b) Have completed at least one year of postsecondary staggered over a period of one year or more
  • c) Be covered by an agreement between the College and an employer.


Special conditions for access to the profession
Pass the exam residential real estate broker at Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) which issues the certificate of residential real estate broker.
The OACIQ informs us that a consent form on criminal records is required by the OACIQ when asked to grant a certificate.
** It takes 45 days for the OACIQ can do the verification.



RESIDENCIAL REAL ESTATE BROKER

The residential real estate broker program, with a duration of 465 hours is given in two 15-week semesters. Students of this program will be prepared to take the final exam to obtain their license to practice the profession of residential Real Estate Broker.


Perspectives Employment

Employment prospects are very satisfactory in this area. The placement rate is 80%. The main tasks of a graduate are:

  • Analyze the real estate brokerage market
  • Apply the laws and regulations relating to real estate brokerage
  • Adopt professional behavior in their brokerage practice immovable
  • Enjoy the quality and standards of construction of a residential building
  • Estimate the market value of residential property
  • Carrying out brokerage transactions relating to contracts for the sale, the purchase or lease of a residential building
  • Perform operations on promises to purchase, lease or exchange of a residential building
